Journey may not be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet, but Neal Schon is headed for the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.

Although he actually became famous after moving to California, the guitarist was born in the Sooner State -- at Tinker Air Force Base near Oklahoma City. His induction will take place this Friday, prior to Journey’s concert at The Joint Hard Rock Event Center in Tulsa.
Schon joins a fairly short list of rock inductees in the country-heavy Hall: Leon Russell; bassist Carl Radle and drummer Jamie Oldaker, who were both members of Eric Clapton's band; Bread's David Gates and the groups Hinder and The All-American Rejects round out the rockers.
