Nate Wolters Released by Milwaukee Bucks

Former South Dakota State guard Nate Wolters' NBA career is on hold, as he has been released by the Milwaukee Bucks.  The team made the official announcement Friday morning.

Wolters was in his second second with the Bucks, appearing in 11 of Milwaukee's 37 games this season, averaging two points, two rebounds, and one assist in 13 minutes a game.  He was hitting 39 percent from the floor.

The St. Cloud, Minnesota native was Milwaukee's second round pick in the 2013 NBA Draft and appeared in 69 games with the Bucks overall, averaging 21 minutes, six points, three assists, and two rebounds a game.

He is now free to sign with any NBA team with an open roster spot.  His salary is fully guaranteed the rest of this season.

Wolters' release makes room on the Milwaukee roster to sign 37-year old Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract. Martin will be reunited with head coach Jason Kidd, who played alongside Martin in New Jersey, making consecutive trips to the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.
