Roger Waters and his guitarist G.E. Smith were in Washington, D.C. this week and met with wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital.

But they weren't just doing a good deed -- they were there to rehearse for their performance together at the annual Stand Up for Heroes benefit in the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 6th. Waters says some of the performers did the show with him last year, and this time out, he'll "have 12 other Wounded Warriors all from the New York area, six men and six women who have become an impromptu choir for the occasion. We have already had two practice sessions and they are very impressive. Working with these guys is maybe the most rewarding thing I do."

Also on the bill will be Bruce Springsteen and Jerry Seinfeld.
