It was the moment die-hard Rolling Stones fans had been waiting for since it was announced Mick Taylor would be hitting the road with the band last year. Taylor dominatedthe Stones' Monday night (May 20th) final gig at L.A.'s Staples Center.

B102.7 listener Brandy and her husband were at the show. She told me that the show had her on her feet and dancing for two and a half hours and that there were no special guests (beyond Taylor) Just all Stones, all the time.

Taylor performed a total of four songs with the band -- including his signature tour-de-force, the extended Sticky Fingers workout, "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," along with the rarely played 1971 classic "Sway" which featured only Taylor and Mick Jagger on guitars during the original session.

Taylor joined the band again for his customary spots on "Midnight Rambler" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." Other highlights in the show featured a performance of the Some Girls favorite -- and "Miss You" B-side -- "Far Away Eyes."
