Michael Douglas Says Oral Sex Caused His Cancer

From the 'TMI' files, actor Michael Douglas (Wall Street, Romancing The Stone, Basic Instinct) was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010. While doing interviews for 'Behind the Candelabra', the new Liberace movie, he was asked if he thought his years of smoking and drinking had contributed to his diagnosis. He made worldwide news when he said his cancer was caused by contracting the HPV virus through oral sex!

Doctors do believe there is a link between oral sex with an infected person and throat cancer.

Douglas went on to say "it's a sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer. And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it.

Douglas' wife, actress Catherine Zeta Jones, had no response...other than a huge smile.

The 68-year-old actor says is now free of cancer, and has earned raves for his portrayal of Liberace in the HBO film. He was diagnosed in 2010.
