On Friday night (June 14th), Paul McCartney made his first appearance at Manchester, Tennessee's Bonnaroo Festival. McCartney delivered the same new set that's been wowing recent arena and stadium crowds -- with the addition of the old Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter standard, "The Midnight Special," which was featured on McCartney's 1987 "Russian Album," and has long been a mainstay of his pre-show soundchecks.

Pollstar reported that one point during the show, McCartney -- who's no stranger to the unique fragrance of what he's often jokingly referred to to "herbal jazz cigarettes" -- told the hard-partying festival crowd: "That's some pretty good weed I can smell. What are you doing to me?"
