Marion Road Closed. Bridge Replacement Will Take A Month.

Starting on Monday, August 11, 2014, Marion Road will be closed to through traffic from Maple Street to Benson Road. Work will begin to replace an existing bridge along Marion Road just north of Maple Street with a new box culvert. This work is part of the West Maple Street Widening and Marion Road Box Culvert Project.

Traffic will be detoured along Maple Street, Career Avenue, and Benson Road. Maple Street west of Marion Road will be open to traffic. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Work is anticipated to be completed by mid-September. Blacktop Paving of Sioux Falls is the prime contractor of this project.
