An early Tuesday morning confrontation led to a series of blows to the face and a stolen vehicle.

Police believe the incident took place around 4:00 AM at the Fry’n Pan near 10th and Cleveland. Officer Sam Clemens said the 63 year-old Sioux Falls man had a feeling there was going to be trouble.

“He had his hand in his pocket and the victim thought he was holding on to something. (The victim) wasn’t sure if there was a weapon or not. The suspect punched him in the face a few times and told (the victim) he wanted (the) keys. The victim gave (up) the keys and (the suspect) drove away in the car.”

A description of the suspect is a white man in his early 20’s with blonde hair, about 6 foot 3 inches weighing 130 pounds. Fortunately the victim did not need medical attention.

The stolen car is a 2004 Gray Hyundai Accent with South Dakota plates.
