SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls man has pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing a bank in the city.

Authorities say 22-year-old Alvione Jones in June approached the manager of Great Western Bank in the parking lot, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and forced the manager to go inside and open the bank's safe. Jones fled with about $60,000.

U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Jones faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 18.
