The month of February has been proclaimed National "Heart Month."

Chrissy Meyer of the American Heart Association stopped by the Main Street Cafe recently to visit with Chad about all the different events the organization has going on this month.

The first of which is this Friday - "Wear Red For Women Day."

It's a day in which women and men are encouraged to wear something red in order to draw attention to heart disease in this country.

Heart disease is actually the leading cause of death in both men and women and is often referred to as "the silent killer."

Here's a link to the interview if you would like to hear what Chrissy had to say.
