Four major street projects start in Sioux Falls on Monday April 27. Here’s the only one that involves a detour.

The intersection of 22nd Street and Minnesota Avenue will get most of the attention. Although there will be some repairs beyond that junction that are also noteworthy.

Minnesota Avenue gets one lane of traffic going north and south through the construction zone for the duration of the project. All the concrete within the intersection will be replaced. Plus joint, repair will occur on Minnesota Avenue one block north and south of 22nd Street.

Traffic will not be allowed to cross Minnesota Avenue at 22nd Street. A detour will send traffic to 26th Street using Phillips Avenue and Grange Avenue.

Extensive work will also be done on 22nd Street west of Minnesota Avenue for about a block.
