One came for reputation rehabilitation, the other to reveal his talent.  Two members of the Sioux Falls Skyforce will make their way to the NBA Development League All-Star Game on February 15.

DeAndre Liggins took the D-League route after being cut by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the late summer of 2013.  Liggins was chosen by Sioux Falls with the 7th pick in the 2013 NBADL Draft.  Along the way the Kentucky guard has filled every need for the Skyforce during the first half of the season with 15.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5 assists per game.  Liggins also tops the league in steals per game with 2.8 and 41 minutes played per contest which ranks third.

Justin Hamilton was in camp with the Miami Heat after being drafted in the second round of the NBA draft in 2012.  The 7-footer played internationally for a season after concluding his career at LSU.  With the one-to-one affiliation between Sioux Falls and Miami, Hamilton has continued an upward trend of play since the season began.  His current totals include leading the team in scoring with 19.6 points per game (13th in the league), 9.1 rebounds per contest (8th league wide), and 1.9 blocks per contest (also 8th in the league).

Liggins and Hamilton are among twenty of the NBA Development League’s top prospects who will play in the eighth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Sprint Arena inside NBA All-Star Jam Session at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
