Good news for candy lovers. The Nestles Candy Company has devised a way to give chocolate lovers a break from the high sugar content.

Candy company scientists have cooked up a new way to process sugar in order to make it just as sweet but in smaller amounts.

Because of the breakthrough, Nestle plans to gradually reduce the sugar content in its chocolate bars 40% by the year 2018.

Industry experts say that could give the company an edge among consumers increasingly concerned about blood sugar levels and dental health.
