After entering the fourth quarter leading by 14 and by as many as 17 in the game, the Sioux Falls Skyforce were overrun on the road by the Texas Legends 104-102 in the NBA Development League Friday night.  The win for Texas pushes them to 7-4 and Sioux Falls drops to 6-3 on the year.

The crucial stretch was an 18 to 4 run that put the Legends in the lead for the first time since late in the first quarter.  The run was backed by consecutive three pointers by the Legends’ Christian Eyenga made the score 100-97. A putback by Sioux Falls’ Mike Davis tied the game at 102, but Texas’ Chris Douglas-Roberts drove the lane for the winning bucket with 3.9 seconds left.

The Skyforce had five players tally double digits, led by Demetris Nichols with 22 points and 7 rebounds, with Mike Davis adding 20 points and 8 rebounds and Jarvis Varnado collected a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.  For the Legends Darius Rice Chris Douglas Roberts and NBA Assignee Jared Cunningham each scored 21 points with Rice also posting 10 rebounds.

Sioux Falls will try to snap a two game losing streak tonight in Austin against the Toros.  The Legends will be at home again to host the Iowa Energy.
