First Dave Davies was against going into the studio with his brother Ray, but now Ray says they may do just that. He says that while Dave has some songs he wants him to hear, Ray is working on a new album and may ask Dave to play on it.

Whether this will lead to a reunion of The Kinks remains to be seen. Ray says, "It's an increment at a time...Now he has suddenly changed his tactic." The Kinks' last album was 1993’s Phobia and the band's last show was in 1996.

Ray just published a new book, Americana. Dave starts a run of six U.S. dates on November 12th in New York.
