Overnight traffic on a major route around Sioux Falls will be detoured.  On Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 10 p.m., T&R Contracting will detour the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 at the Cliff Avenue Interchange, Exit 399 in Sioux Falls, for approximately one hour, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

Traffic will be detoured south on Cliff Avenue to Benson Road, east to Interstate 229 and then north, back to eastbound Interstate 90. This detour is needed to install the sign bridge at the Interstate 229 interchange.

The work is part of the $17.4 million Interstate 90 and Cliff Avenue interchange project. The prime contractor is T&R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls; the interim completion date is November 8.
