On Wednesday morning, September 19, 2012, the eastbound thru lane on 26th Street at Grange Avenue will be closed.

Xcel Energy will be moving power poles. The work is anticipated to be finished by the evening of September 19, 2012.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in this area.

In addition, West Maple Street, approximately 900’ west of Marion Road, will be closed to all traffic as construction crews begin bridge replacement work. The intersections of Marion Road and La Mesa Drive will remain open.

Traffic will be detoured along Marion Road, 60th Street North and Tea/Ellis Road.

Maple Street is scheduled to be open to through traffic by October 13, 2012.

Finally, beginning Tuesday, September 18, 2012, street improvements will be made at the BNSF railroad crossings on 14th Street between 4th Avenue and 7th Avenue.

During the operation, lanes will be closed where repairs are being made. Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times. Traffic delays may be encountered.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction areas and may wish to consider alternate routes.

Work is expected to be complete on Thursday, September 20, 2012.
