More than $33,000 has been swiped from a Lake Andes gas station convenience store.

According to The Daily Republic, Julie Stirling, 64, has been charged with embezzlement for allegedly using the store's video lottery system to acquire money.

Stirling began her theft in 2014 and wrote 80 fraudulent checks between then and October 2015, when the store owner contacted police. He caught on to a potential forgery  case after he noticed that numerous checks in the lottery statements were written in Stirling's handwriting.
