Knoxville Nationals Got Underway Thursday

After rain washed out Wednesday night's action, It cleared off for the start of the 54th running of the Knoxville Nationals on Thursday. Brian Brown from Missouri won night one.

Sam Hafertepe, Jr. of Texas was second and Australian Kerry Madsen finished third. Huset's Speedway seven time champion Terry McCarl was fourth and Bryan Clauson came across in fifth.

The best finish for Sioux Falls drivers was Clint Garner coming in ninth.

The championship night is set for Saturday. Huset's is running an open show on Sunday night inviting drivers from outside our area to another night of racing.
