Kelsea Ballerrini penned her song "Peter Pan" with Jesse Lee and Forest Whitehead.

The song appears on Balerini's album The First Time, which was released in 2015. The song picked up more steam when the official video was released in April 2016.

At the time of this article the song still maintains it's popularity holding a slot on the Bill Board Top 100.

The song is about a figurative Peter Pan; a man who loves danger and thrill-seeking as much as he wants to be with the protagonist in the song, which ultimately proves too much to overcome. The video underscores that theme with a spoken-word intro from Ballerini, who says, “He always had to feel …  the rush, the heartbeat, the speed. He had a passion for things he knew could hurt him. But he never stayed long enough to get hurt. Sometimes, I guess he found that feeling with me. And the other times, he found it being lost.”       -TasteofCountry.com

Landon Wall is a Kelsea Ballerini fan and a singer songwriter himself. Landon wrote a response song to "Peter Pan" called "Lost Boy"

In the video above twelve-year-old Landon is performing at Nashville’s famed Bluebird Cafe, and to the surprise of costumers Kelsea Ballerini shows up. Kelsea borrows Landon's guitar and performs "Peter Pan" live.
