Okay, here is proof positive that cheerleading is a sport. And if you don't agree than take it up with former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader Rachel Wray.

But I wouldn't recommend it.

According to NESN.com, the lady has gone from the gridiron to the octagon, going from cheerleader to MMA fighter.

“Last year, I was a Chiefs cheerleader,” she said. “I have been a cheerleader or dancer my whole life and I moved here from Arkansas to cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs. I started working out at Title Boxing Club with some of the girls for an alternative workout. I really enjoyed it and started taking private lessons after a little while. One day, I came in and they wanted me to spar. I was nervous about someone actually punching me in the face, but I did it.”

According to NESN, Wray is making a name for herself in MMA circles. And with women make inroads with UFC, thanks to the likes of Ronda Rousey, it may only be a matter of time before this former cheerleader is using her high kicks for something a little more damaging.
