Texas-born Kacey Musgravesis a 24-year-old country music artist whose first full-length recording, 'Same Trailer, Different Park,' just dropped in March. The album debuted at No.2 on the Billboard charts. Her first single 'Merry Go Round' hit radio last fall.

Influenced by country and folk legends like Loretta Lynn and John Prine, as well as pop bands like Cake and the Beach Boys, Musgraves is obviously more than just a pretty face on the country music scene. She was nominated for four awards at the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year.

While she's still very young, Musgraves has been writing songs since she was 9. She also wrote Miranda Lambert's hit track 'Mama’s Broken Heart,' ranked by 'Rolling Stone' as one of the '50 Best Singles of 2011.' Musgraves has opened for Willie Nelson, Lady Antebellum and Alison Krauss — pretty impressive company.
