Former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing has made his feelings known regarding his exit from the band, and while he's not exactly thrilled that the group didn't follow through on their farewell tour plans, he does reveal in a new interview that there are a few instances in which he could reunite with his bandmates.

The most obvious would be if the band were to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Speaking with Blast Echo, Downing states, "i'd be fine with that," and adds that he would make the trip to attend.

When pressed about any additional touring, Downing stated, "Obviously they have Richie [Faulkner] there. Maiden has done the three guitar player, but I don't think there's room for an extra guitar player in Priest. Priest has always been a two-guitar band so I can't see that working. We'll have to see what happens next."

Surprisingly, Downing revealed another instance in which he might return but it would require some cooperation from the band's peers. He states that he would be up for a Black Sabbath / Iron Maiden / Judas Priest tour. "It would be something I would have to be a part of," says Downing. "Only because I'd like to see the greatest heavy metal tour happen because it's never happened. And it's never gonna happen. Unfortunately, that chapter of history won't be there forever, which is kind of sad."

Last year, Downing opened up about his exit from the band, stating that he wasn't happy with the group's live performances. "To me, Priest was always a stealth machine and that’s what I liked about it. Even though you get older you still need to be able to deliver the goods. People came a long way and paid a lot of money to see us so you’ve got to make sure you still give 110 percent. I thought that should be inherent and what it should always be,” revealed the guitarist. He went on to add that he's happy for current guitarist Richie Faulkner who stepped in after he left. At the time, he was asked if he thought reunion would be possible to which he replied, "No, I don't think that will ever happen."
