John Lennon's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles has been vandalized, according to Beatles Examiner. A member of the team that maintains the Lennon star told Examiner's Steve Marinucci that the team is planning to have the star looking its best in time for the celebrations tomorrow (October 9th), which mark what would've been the late-Beatle's 73rd birthday.

Cathy Krager explained, "I think this is a responsibility of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, though I know Capitol (Records) has security cameras all over, including one near the star. I do believe, however, that they have had a reduction in just about all areas there. . . But normally we would clean the stars right before the event. It looks like it'll take some time."

None of the other Beatles' stars were defaced, yet the team isn't sure that the star will be pristine by the time celebrations kick off at 6 p.m.
