When you think about hard working and tough in the NFL, more often than not the name James Harrison will come to mind. He certainly has built a reputation for hard working and tough on the field and apparently off of it as well.


What Harrison did is arguably something that the vast majority of fathers out there want to do. I may not have any children, but if I did I would have to agree with some of his thoughts.

I think that people often forget the purpose of trophies, ribbons, plaques, and all other types of accolades. The true purpose of accolades in general is to reward accomplishments that were better than the rest, not for simply showing up.
