The Class A semi-final football matchups are set in the state of Iowa and the high powered offense of West Sioux (Hawarden, IA) has advanced to the final four.

West Sioux will take on Council Bluffs St. Albert on Friday at 1pm, while Hudson will face off against St. Ansgar all at the UNI-Dome.

My Mom grew up in Hawarden and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pulling for West Sioux, but the point of this piece isn't to highlight the team, it is to highlight a individual.

That individual is Jake Lynott and he is flat about ball'n right now for the Falcons.

Last week in their win over Sioux Central, Lynott accounted for seven total touchdowns.  That is not a typo, he accounted for SEVEN!

Of course all week West Hancock, the Falcons opponent on Friday, would of made sure to not let Lynott beat them, right?

Well, that is much easier said than done.

Lynott had a early punt return for a 62 yard touchdown and added a couple more touchdowns later in the game in route to a 54-12 win.

This is nothing new though for West Sioux this season as it was the eighth time this year that they scored over 50 points in a game and Lynott has been a monster for the Falcons aiding in those huge explosions offensively.

Lynott hasn't committed to a college yet but has received offers from Northwestern and SMSU.

All I know is after seeing his highlights and stats, I'd take him on my team at almost any level any day. The eye test rarely lies and this dude can flat out ball. Period.
