A tentative agreement has been reached between the Minnesota Vikings and the University of Minnesota to let the NFL team use TCF Bank Stadium for two seasons, starting in 2014.

The only remaining hurdle is getting approval from the university's Board of Regents, which could come as early as Friday.

According to a letter of intent last May, the Vikings will pay the school $3 million a season, plus revenue sharing.  The Vikings would play outdoors on the university's Minneapolis campus in 2014 and 2015 while the NFL team's new stadium is built on the site of the Metrodome.

The last full season the Vikings played outdoors was 1981, the final season of Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington.
