He's only been at the Reptile Gardens for a little over a year, but Orville is one of the oldest residents on display at the South Dakota tourist attraction.

Orville, a 375-pound Aldabra tortoise, was born when Teddy Roosevelt was president of the United States, but celebrated his 108th birthday at the Reptile Gardens in Rapid City, South Dakota on Sunday, June 22nd.  The big day was spent by Orville eating watermelon and sunbathing.

Even though Orville is 108 years old, he's not at the top of the record books at the Reptile Gardens.  The oldest tortoise that was on display at the Reptile Gardens lived to be 130 years old.

Orville found his home at the Reptile Gardens thanks to a private collector from Florida.
