Gaylynn Huber of Sioux Falls Streets says his crews are busy repairing potholes around the city.

"Right now, this type of weather is when we see potholes form. Anytime you get into the warmer weather where you have a lot of temperatures changes between the night time and day time - you're getting melting during the day that puts a lot of water on the streets. It can get underneath the surface. At night it freezes and expands the water and creating the pothole."

If you want to report a pothole, Huber encourages you to call the pothole number.

"That's right. The number is 367-8002. If residents call our office directly - the number is 367-8255. You will get a person on the phone and sometimes we can get it out to the crews much quicker that way."
