I-90 Reopens Again

State Transportation authorities in Minnesota were forced to close portion of I-90 Sunday afternoon between Magnolia and Luverne, Minnesota due to flooding.

Torrential rains pushed the dam at Blue Mound out of its spillway early Sunday morning causing a larger closure from Luverne to the South Dakota border.

Earlier Sunday morning, I-90 was closed from Liverne to the South Dakota border.

An estimated 6-7 inches of rain fell in Luverne Saturday and early Sunday morning.

Heavy rain is forecast for Monday for the area again, so the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the region.
