I-90, Cliff Ave Interchange to be Closed for Bridge Work
SIOUX FALLS – The Interstate 90 and Cliff Avenue interchange will be closed from 7 p.m. this evening until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation says the evening closures will continue every night from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. until all of the bridge girders have been set over Cliff Avenue. The work is expected to be completed by Friday at 6 a.m.
The DOT says the closure is needed so the contractor can set girders for the I-90 westbound structure over Cliff Avenue.
The interchange ramps will remain open to traffic, but Cliff Avenue will be closed to thru traffic at the I-90 overpass bridge.
The work is part of a $17.4 million project at the I-90 and Cliff Avenue interchange project. The prime contractor is T&R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls; the interim completion date is November 8.
