House Fire In Southwest Sioux Falls

There was a house fire reported in the southwest part of Sioux Falls Thursday, June 26th, 2014.   The home is located at 4213 South Holbrook Avenue.

The first reports came in at 6:08am with Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responding to the scene with four fire trucks, three support vehicles and 19 firefighters.  Crews fought the fire from the exterior of the home.   It was under control within 30 minutes and completely extinguished within an hour.

According to local news sources, there were three occupants in the home and they were all able to get out of the burning home safely.  Argus Leader 911 reports that 4 dogs were able to escape the burning home, but a cat did perish in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
