Homeless Man Attacks Train Engineer Near Falls Park in Sioux Falls
A man police identify as a transient from Sioux Falls climbed onto a train near Falls Park Monday afternoon and punched the engineer.
Officer Sam Clemens says it happened around 3:45 pm as the D&I Railroad train was idling on the bridge over Falls Park:
Clemens says police found 30-year-old Robert Charles Dam hiding in a wooded area east of the railroad bridge. Dam was arrested for simple assault and trespassing.
The railroad engineer had minor injuries.
