On Sunday, July 19, 2015 at around 4:00 AM, police received a 911 call from the residents at an apartment in the 4800 block of S. Louise about several masked persons who were breaking into their home. The residents said that all of the subjects were armed with handguns.

As officers arrived in the area they discovered a juvenile male lying on the ground near the residence with multiple lacerations and stab wounds. The residents told the officers that numerous persons had forced their way into their home. As the residents barricaded themselves in a bedroom they told the intruders that the police had been called.

A few of the subjects left and as the residents exited their bedroom they became engaged in a physical confrontation with two of the remaining intruders. A fight broke out and one of the subjects was stabbed and cut repeatedly by one of the residents of the apartment.

The residents managed to drag the juvenile suspect outside, barricaded their front door, and waited for the police to arrive.

The juvenile suspect was transported to the emergency room and admitted to the hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
