Is Diogo Morgado, who plays Jesus in History Channels 'The Bible', too pretty for the part?  Morgado is a big deal in Portugal having performed in popular Spanish soap operas.    Are you watching the Mini-series?  Episode 4 premiered Sunday night on the History Channel.  I've been watching the show.  It is sure a ratings success.  According to Breathecast:

The Bible has already garnered over an estimated 70 million viewers, including reruns on History Channel and Lifetime.

But is the History Channel getting the facts right?  In an interview with Newsmax.com Rev. Wil Gafney, an Episcopal priest and associate professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, argues that:

The History Channel is getting everything wrong about "The Bible," including geography, anthropology, archaeology, biblical studies, theology, race, and ethnicity.

Oh, well, other than THAT how are they doing?  What do you think?  Do you think the show is too "Hollywood"?  Is it worth watching?
