State officials have reopened I-90 in both directions from Rapid City to Vivian. I-90 is now completely open to traffic, but motorists are cautioned that winter driving conditions still exist.

Not a good day to travel in the Upper Plains.

Brian Kirk of KDLT-TV says temps today will be in the 20's, but winds will continue to push us around at 35-45 mph. Much of North Dakota and western South Dakota have roads classified as “No Travel Advised” and portions of both I-94 and I-90 are closed.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation has closed I-90 in both directions from the Wyoming border to Vivian, SD.

That segment of I-90 will remain closed until conditions improve and crews are able to clear the roadway.

Winter plowing has been suspended in some areas where it is too dangerous for the plows to be on the roadway.

Officials say motorists and semi-truck drivers should consider changing travel plans until conditions improve.
