In this busy world, it’s nice to have a little help keeping track of everything your community has to offer. And the Helpline Center is doing just that with its new program, text2know.

Betsy Schuster is Vice President of Program Development at the Helpline Center,

“Text2know answers the questions people may not even know they have. In a sense, we're bringing 211 to your smart phone.”

The text2know program will launch Wednesday, August 17 in the pilot communities of Sioux Falls and Beadle County.

Schuster explains how the program will work,

"Residents in Sioux Falls and Beadle County will text 211siouxfalls or 211beadle to 898211. They'll then receive weekly reminders about services and events offered in their community. Weekly texts might include a reminder about flu shots, or deadlines for holiday assistance programs. Text2know is just one more way the Helpline Center helps connect community members with the programs and services available to them. The text2know texts will be sent each Wednesday."

To learn more about text2know, contact Betsy Schuster by dialing 211 or emailing betsy@helplinecenter.org.
