Gregg Allman's memoir, My Cross to Bear, is being turned into a movie. Randall Miller and Jody Savin, the filmmakers behind the upcoming music-themed feature CBGB, the story of the now defunct New York punk club, are working on this project. They say the film will focus on two aspects of his life -- his coming of age as an artist during the rise of the Allman Brothers Band, and his life now as he continues to try and live sober. Allman and his manager, Michael Lehman, will serve as advisers and executive producers. The film will include original recordings as well as songs performed by the cast.
