Good Time For Travel Discounts

Airlines are starting to announce discount fares for the fall.

Rick Seaney of FareCompare.com says August 21st is considered by many as being sort of a "magical date" for travel discounts.

He expects some fares to drop anywhere from 10% to 20%.

As long as you depart after August 21st, you'll get in on some of those cheaper prices.

For later travel, Seaney says mid to late August is a good time to lock in tickets for the upcoming holiday season.
