General Mills To Make Gluten Free Cheerios

If you're a fan of Cheerios but would prefer a gluten-free version, you are in luck. General Mills announced they will be producing a gluten free version that will be available starting in July.

You may be wondering how Cheerios could have gluten in them since they are made from oats, which do not have gluten in them. Mostly they likely don't. But there is a chance of cross-contamination from other grains. A proprietary process will ensure that there is no gluten in Cheerios whatsoever.

Five of the Cheerios flavors will get the gluten free treatment: original, Honey Nut, Multi-Grain, Apple Cinnamon, and Frosted.
