In news that should come as a surprise to no one, ever, 'Ghostbusters 3' has been delayed yet again. So this movie is just a joke to everyone at this point, right?

We're pretty much past the point where anyone legitimately wants to see this movie get made and the perpetual delays have become something of an endearing joke -- sort of how our friends make that "May the 4th be with you" joke every year on May 4, and we laugh because it's annoying, sure, but it's predictable and it's just going to keep happening right on schedule. 'Ghostbusters 3' news is like that. "New writers!" "Delayed again!" "Bill Murray says no!"

Well, we're back to "delayed again," according to THR in a story about the rumors that Sony studio may be up for sale. The relevant info:

Any decision on Ghostbusters III, the long-, long-gestating sequel, has been postponed until the end of March -- this after Men in Black 3 writer Etan Cohen was paid a huge sum for a script. Shooting was to begin next summer but now couldn’t start before fall at the earliest.

So this means we'll probably be bringing you news sometime at the end of spring about how Bill Murray has once again declined to have any part in the sequel and Dan Akyroyd is determined to make the damn thing anyway, and maybe by then they'll have a few new scripts, too.
