George Thorogood & the Destroyers were among the featured artists at Thursday’s 15th annual Music Preservation Project event at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. The Grammy Foundation fundraiser’s theme this year was Play It Forward: A Celebration of Music’s Evolution and Influencers. Thorogood first performed “Bad to the Bone,” then was joined by Kenny Wayne Shepherd to pay homage to “influencer” Hank Williams Sr. with “Move It on Over,” a longtime staple of Thorogood and the Destroyers’ setlist.
