Surprise, surprise ... Gas prices are on the rise – just in time for Labor Day road trips.

Prices are up as much as 30 cents per gallon than just one month ago.

And, gas companies always have an excuse. This time, they’re saying that Hurricane Isaac shut down several oil refineries, sending gas prices up.

But despite the higher cost of fuel, a recent survey says Americans are still making plans to travel – with 33 million Americans traveling 50 miles or more from home.
