Can you believe the Sioux Falls Municipal Band has been entertaining for 95 years! This summer is no exception and they have an unbelievable schedule, so if you don't catch at least one of their performances, you have no one to blame but yourself! Especially because every performance is absolutely free!

Chris Hill is the municipal band's longtime conductor and has performed with some of the most prestigious musical groups in the country, including the Baltimore Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestra to name just two.

Each performance has a theme and these are a few of my favorites for this summer:

  • Play That Funky Oboe, Hot Boys!-June 22nd, McKennan Park
  • What Does the Sax Say? -June 24, Sunnycrest
  • Having an Eight-Track Mind-July 13th, McKennan Park
  • Tute a Flute- July 27th, Primrose

But there are so many more! Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, relax and revel in the beautiful sounds of summer! For weather announcements, check them out on Facebook, Twitter, here or here.
