Are you prepared? According to weather guru, Frankie MacDonald, there is a major rainstorm going to hit Sioux Falls on Thursday, June 11, 2015.

The storm will bring 30+ millimeters of rain.  I'm not metric savvy, so I had to google that amount. It sure sounds like we're in for quite a storm. I hope you stocked up on your Pepsi.  According to Google, one inch equals 25.4 millimeters. Soooooo, would that be like just over an inch of rain? With that being said, it is still a good idea to make sure your sump pump is working and is discharging outside your home and not in the floor drain. Placing storm water in the sanitary sewer system could lead to sewage backups in your or your neighbor's basement.  I don't want sewage in my basement. Do you want sewage in your basement?  No.

Frankie is encouraging people to wear your rain gear and rubber boots and he discourages outdoor activities. Take a look at Frankie's latest forecast.

We love Frankie and we think he does great weather forecasts, but just in case you'd prefer to know what Todd Heitkamp and the National Weather Service are saying, here's the latest forecast.
