SIOUX FALLS - Some Sioux Falls residents hit hard by the recent ice storm don't have the money to clean up the mess.

That's why officials with the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation say they're accepting contributions from donors wanting to help. The foundation's president, Candy Hanson, said in a Wednesday news release that the mess left behind by April 9's storm has been an "unexpected financial hardship" for some.

Money donated to the foundation won't be distributed to individuals but rather used to reimburse the agencies that provide direct assistance to people in need.

Details on donating are available online at www.sfacf.org.
