Former Minnesota Vikings first round pick Christian Ponder has found a new team as he has landed with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers have become real thin at the position with a injury to potential starter Colin Kaepernick and backup Thad Lewis who was lost for the season after a ACL tear.

Ponder is a former first round pick that has been cast away into the bust category and will now try and just stick on a NFL roster.

In his career, Ponder threw for 6658 yards in 38 games for the Minnesota Vikings and had a completion % of 59.8 with 38 TD's and 36 INT's.
