MITCHELL - A former Dakota Wesleyan basketball player accused of raping a female student on campus has been indicted by a Davison County grand jury.

Kristopher Wilson faces a charge of felony third-degree rape. It carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Court documents say the woman was extremely intoxicated and in and out of consciousness when Wilson had sex with her.

The Mitchell Daily Republic reports that Wilson posted bond and was released from jail on the condition he has no contact with the alleged victim.

Defense attorneys declined to comment.
