Fired Eagle Happy To Help With Doc
Ousted Eagles lead guitarist Don Felder returned to the band's fold to take part in the new career-spanning documentary, History Of The Eagles. Felder, who released his second solo album, the critically acclaimed, Road To Forever, last year was fired from the Eagles in 2001 following monetary disputes with co-founders Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Eagles manager Irving Azoff. The case was settled out of court the following year.
Felder, who has been perceived as being a thorn in the Eagles side due to the lawsuit, was asked how he came to take part in the new film, which had it's national debut on Showtime last week: "Y'know, I was asked if I would come in for about a half-day and sit and be interviewed for the film, and I gladly wanted to be part of it and I don't know if I would consider my performance that of a movie star (laughs), and I don't even know if that's an actual documentary. It's more of just a telling of the story of the life and history of the Eagles, really."
