The third best zombie show on TV, after The Walking Dead and Z Nation, is AMC's TWD spinoff Fear The Walking Dead. AMC released the poster, or key art as the industry likes to call it, for the upcoming second season.

There is no need for me to warn you of spoilers because there is really nothing from season one of Fear that I could spoil for anyone because nothing really happened. Zombies started to appear, people screamed, a lot of people died, then suddenly they were living behind fences guarded by the army until the army left.

That was really the whole first season. It was a gross disappointment.

And yes, I think the campy and at times ridiculous Syfy show Z Nation is a better watch at this point than season one of Fear. has a plot that actually moves and a couple of developed sort of developed characters. Fear has so much character development shoved down our throats that we know that one character is still anti-gun in a zombie apocalypse that barely featured zombies.

Most missed in season one of Fear was witnessing the devolution of society that we purposely don't see with Rick Grimes during his coma in The Walking Dead. It was almost as if some weird stuff started happening and the the army built the California version of Woodbury and the world fell apart outside the view of the story. Why? If they weren't going to tell this story then why bill the show as doing that. But enough of me bitching...

However, season two appears to have promise. The season will start with our "group" on a very rich doomsday prepper's yacht in the Pacific trying to stay away from the hordes of L.A. zombies. Being on the water is something used to great effectiveness in the plot of Max Brooks' World War Z (and not the awful Brad Pitt movie of the same name).

While the water provides safety it also presents danger. How things will unfold for our heroes Salazar and Maddie and our weenie moral authority Travis, we shall see.

But here's the cool new poster!
